Sweet CyndiA Poem by BLBrownA loving poem for my niece, Cyndi. This young girl, sparkling with her bright blue eyes, smiles the sun, in eve, her starlight shines. Fearless, with beautiful, long and silky hair, every-shade red, down
her back, with such care. Her skin is such a soft and rosy blush, lovely contrast to eyes and hair, a must. Petite, she’s a pistol at 5 foot 3, towering over those taller, spirit free. She opens her soul, deep thinker she is, Vulnerable, steely strong and smart, a whiz. Make-up in every shade of color, perfume and nails, girly stuff she’s a lover. Fashion queen and jewelry collector, she knows how to wear them, they don’t wear her. Disciplined, healthy with food and exercise, she’s learned early how to take care, so wise. Writer, she is, stories and ideas abound, from her soul, deep within, clever and profound. Video game champ, you just name the game, she knows it, she beat it, highest scores her fame. Lover of animals, sweet Bella and Max, And, lest we forget, cute Buffy the cat. A cultivated palate in such youth, she appreciates fine foods, ‘tis the truth. Daughter to a wonderful mother, she grew, close as can be, unbreakable bonds, those two. Daddy’s girl, hanging out, beautiful car, whatever fun presents itself, near or far. Loving niece, I’m loving her loving me, our laughter is so easy, can’t you just see. Wonderful bundle of pureness, can’t deny, “sweet Cyndi,” whispers the wind with a sigh. © 2012 BLBrownAuthor's Note
