My Lover's EyesA Poem by BLBrownA love poem about my lover's eyes.
Oh my love, I adore your eyes, so blue, when they are a perfect, baby boy
hue. And when on a cloudy, overcast day, they turn a sweet, soft lilting, dove-like
gray. Oh my love, how I love your eyes, oh so
strong, on a darkened night, an indigo song. And when the sky is clear, shining, pure
bright, I can see your eyes, now sky blue,
alight. Oh my love, is sweet, cerulean guise, while concentrating, furrowed brow ‘bove
eyes. And when the room dims, and we cuddle
close, it's celadon blue-green,
blue I see most. Oh my love, I love that stormy cobalt, that tints those stern eyes, frustration at
fault. And this shade that's held dear, without
measure, is Aegean's azure, cools
my desert.
Oh my love, I adore your crystal
blue, when playing with me, and laughing at you. And it's true, translucent aquamarine, guides me through heavy nights, of pain
unseen
Oh my love, how can I ever forget Carolina blue, your favorite yet. But of all the blues that color our world,
my heart's afire, your sapphire,
unfurled. And my love, could you feel my joy, how
strong, when our little baby girl came along? That my lazy hazel eyes, were mine, kept, when she revealed your blues, oh how I
wept. © 2012 BLBrownAuthor's Note
