Vacation Poems

Vacation Poems

A Poem by Bonnie
"

I was inspired to write these while on my one day vacation.

"

August 21, 2008

I went to relax at a Resort Spa in Napa, CA.

I climbed a hill where grapes are grown and felt inspired to create poems:

Freedom is Divine

Like grapevines with room to grow

We blossom with space

Rolling hills, green trees,

Sun warms and smoothes away stress

Time to recreate

Vacation today

Glorious serenity

Thank You Spirit Source

Vacation today

Glorious serenity

Thank You One True Source

Climb above troubles,

To view landscape with new eyes

A new perspective

Joy, Joy, Joy Divine

Peace comes in moments of rest

Let go and be FREE!

A Golden Poppy

Statue quietly watches

Grapevines grow in peace

Lizard does push ups

Waits and watches for safety

Ready now, set, go

Net protects grapevines

Birds unable to get near

More grapes to make wine

Stress has built too much

My poems are therapy

Peace returns in time

Enjoy nature now

I value my alone time

Love peace and quiet

As I prepare to leave the resort and return home I compose this poem:

A taste of freedom

Makes me desire more and more

I envy the birds

Ah, as do I also envy the freedom birds so freely enjoy. Poetry is my form of therapy also. =)
Nice collection of Haikus here. I enjoyed your descriptions of nature throughout.
You have a talent for saying so much in so little.

Thanks for sharing!
