Unspoken Goodbye #2

Unspoken Goodbye #2

A Poem by BbCherryTomato
"

When you know it's over even without words...

"

He looked at her, standing against the wind, her hair whipping against her face. She looked so lovely out there in the rain. Like an ethereal creature wrestling against the storm.

She was his muse, his dream, his world, his everything.

She'd said she loved him, so many times and in so many ways. But there was always something about her that was just beyond his reach. And these past few days, she was becoming more distant than ever. It was in her lingering silence, her one-word replies, her absent laughter.

Now, as she glanced back at him, with her smiling lips and unsmiling eyes, he knew.

Her lips may not want to say it, but her eyes said everything he dreaded to hear.

And he knew. He just knew. He'd already lost her.

And she would soon leave without saying goodbye.
