You see me here

And I see you there

Our eyes meet for a moment

So I instantly look away

 

Things are different with you

Than with most others in my life

The relationship that we share

Is built upon a different base

 

We have a deeper connection

Because of the religious structure

That our friendship feeds on

Making it far stronger

 

I trust you whole-heartedly

And I hope you trust me too

I’ve held you as a confidant

Please let me be one for you

 

Anytime your faith is hurting

Or you simply need a friend

Just come and find me

I’ll always be here to listen

 

Whether it’s day or night

Something serious or a bit trivial
