I entered this into a poetry contest. And I really like this one.

A rose for you
A rose for me
Be careful
Or your fingers may bleed

A symbol of love
So very similar
Both are beautiful
Both can hurt

Though there is pain
It's only temporary
Your fingers will heal
As will your heart

Some love for you
Some love for me
Be careful
But don't be afraid
