Let Go

Let Go

A Poem by Bayli

"
Life isn't a movie
He isn't going to call or text you
Saying how much he misses you
How he can't stop thinking about you
How he's sorry for the way he acted
That night he took you out
He's not going to get down
On his knees
And beg for you
Why?
Because he doesn't want you
Instead, he's not going to call or text
You're going to text him first
And you're going to demand to talk
He'll respond,
But it'll only be when he feels like it
That could be anywhere between
Thirty minutes to an hour
He'll be vague and dodge all of the
Questions you throw at him
He won't even try to talk to you
The next time you run into him
But you'll still be there,
And don't even try to deny
That you wouldn't be
You'll still be there because
You think he's worth the effort
And worth the pain
But then you have to wonder
If it's your fault that you're hurting.
