Breathe?

It still hurts

To breathe,

There are no

Tears left to cry.

Trust was broken,

A heart was shattered.

Anger was released,

But in the wrong way.

And now there is no

Chance of taking it

All back no matter

How strong that

Desperate wish is.

A plea of despair

Resonates endlessly

In this empty room,

Crying out in pain

As thoughts about

The good times cross

This tormented mind.

The worst part of all

Is smiling just to stop

The tears from falling.
