Depression

Despair, pain and sleeplessness

Attempt to consume me

As I slowly slip into this

Dark abyss of unconsciousness.

I struggle to release myself

From the grasp of my depression.

It is caused by reasons unknown

Yet swallows me up

Every second I sit in silence.

I try to escape even

Though I know it is futile.

Tears begin to fall

No matter how hard I fight them.

If only there were a solution

To this horrible depression of mine.
