INSENSITIVE

People need to learn

How to be more sensitive

Towards other people

And they need to consider

How other people feel

About what they are saying.

When one outs their head down

And they don't like the situation,

It either means they are

Trying to ignore the conversation

Or hiding the tears

That they are shedding.

People are insensitive,

Though they say they care

Some just need to think about

How hurtful words can be.

Sometimes you should put

Yourself in someone else's shoes,

To see how your insensitivity

Has caused them emotional pain.

You never know how

Hurt someone is if you

Don't understand or pay attention

To their body language

Or until you look

Deep into their eyes,

Which if you look close enough,

Will tell you all.

One can hide their emotions

Behind a fake smile

But they can't change

The hurt look in their eyes.

Look deeper and you may see

That you should leave them be.
