SILENT TREATMENT

Cry me a river
Or don't complain.
Drown in your sorrows
And deal with the pain.
Speak too much
And trouble may follow.
Don't speak at all
And be asked to speak
Scowl and show
How it is you feel
Or smile politely
And act like all is well
Hide your emotions
Let them torture you inside
Or let them out
For the bullies to find.
Give people the silent treatment
And they want it to stop
Stop feeling emotion
And your heart becomes numb
Ask for help if you want
But only sometimes will it be given
Wish you were as cold as stone
Cause then you won't feel a thing.
Wish you didn't have a heart
Then you wouldn't know the sting of the rain.
Thought by now I'd be fine,
But all these tears keep blurrin' every line......
