The last thing on your mind

Sometimes you think you have it all

When it comes to forgiveness

Can you give forgiveness away?

No but it is hard, so hard to give away

Forgiveness can be on your mind

Late at night when you try to sleep

Mostly it goes to those who don't deserve it

Moving on at times you hang onto forgiveness

Your not ready to forgive just yet

The pain in your heart is just too hurtful

It takes all your strength even to think the word

Let alone say it and give those

Compassionate feelings of forgiveness

I know my pride stood in the way

Making room for forgiveness and 

Pushing anger away sometimes 

It's so hard to do, even when you

Know you have a right to hold onto anger

Your inner self is saying set your

Anger and bitterness free

I found it hard, letting go

Reaching out, doing the impossible

Forgiving myself, forgiving others

Those that hurt, those that love

To do the impossible sometimes

Forgiveness, a willingness to forgive

A clean mind

Leads to a healthy mind

Clear the anger and hurt

Set yourself free

You will be amazed

By what you see through the eyes of freedom

You are looking at yourself

You are free

For many people is not the problem of having to forgive someone. The forgiving can be easy....it is the FORGETTING that is hard. Valentine

forgiveness can be a hard task... you know, even though in the bible says to forgive the ones who insult you a lot of times. I do usually forgive peope a lot of times, but often it gets too annoying to do the same thing and they never stop and think about it.

Sometimes the ability to forgive is harder than granting the forgiveness. They say its easier to forgive than to forget, true, not forgetting protects you, but if you hold onto it, do you ever really forgive, or do you simply ignore your feeling of anger and hurt while wearing a smile. An interesting write, forgiveness is something we should all practice, otherwise it will eat at your mind and soul.

Thank you so much for your comment, I really appreciate your words. Something I have been thinking a lot about lately. So I can move on further with my life I believe everything everyone has written. I thought it would be good to try and write something on forgiveness

so very very true!!! i read somewhere that forgiveness is giving up ones right for justice .. someone hurts us; we want justice .. now i'm not talking about criminal acts here .. i'm talking about the personal hurts of daily living ;) .. i'm not sure we are capable of truly forgiving .. even when we "let it go" .. we remember .. oh yes we remember .. and if we dwell on the incident long enough that anger comes creeping back ... for me praying and wanting good things to happen to the person helps a lot .. especially at work ;)
