My past belongs to me , The future belongs to us all

Something I have to constantly remind myself of

To know the past is over

There were reason your past

But now you have to let it go

Do you know some can not let it go

It's imprinted in their head

It's there nibbling away slowly

A focus that becomes so real

The person changes from the now to the then

Committing mistakes they made in a life before

Oh! if only they knew

Oh! if only they could see

Oh! if only

You come to realise you can not change the past

Or anything that happened in the past

Oh! there is moments when you think you can

Crying tears for a life that happened a lifetime ago

I realise that was my lifetime

It's not anymore

My life unknown to many

Even me till now

Slowly my story has unfolded

It's very easy to get wrapped up in the negative

Be positive, be happy, with the cards you have been given

I live one day at a time

One foot after another, I get up and live

I come to know my past is my past for reasons

Only God knows, I have to leave it all behind

There is no way to fix it, it is over

It's done, life is life, I now keep trying to move on

Because the past is the past for a reason

It's been and now it is gone

So stop trying to think of ways to fix it

It's done, it's unchangeable, move on

My past belongs to me

The future belongs to us all

I have faith to walk in my new life

you are so right. I been to my psych today my energy is zapped and wrote something filled with anger. I just felt like belting something up. I beat up my computer

Very good message.We all have a past but this was yesterday and it's dead and gone and can not be changed.Tomorrow is not promised to us because it isn't here yet.Thus we only have today and we can learn from our past but can not change it at all.Presented nicely
