Hidden amongst the clouds,
Wandering aimlessly,
As the sun glistens upon a reflection
Ancients boulders reaching for the sky
Like jewels in the sun, reflections glisten
That float on high over the ancient boulders

Delicately, trembling with joy
I gazed, and gazed,  with solitude
Hidden amongst ancient palms, a lake appeared
Ancients boulders reaching for the sky
Like jewels in the sun, reflections glisten
Across a giant lake, hidden from the bustling world

Alongside the lake, lay under the palms
Feel the breeze, brush gently over your face
As the night sky approaches, stars twinkle and shine
Like a never ending line across the sky
That night I remember trying to count the stars
As they danced across the sky

Moonlight reflects on the ancient boulders
Stars reflection on the water, creating sparkling images
You could not help but gaze, upon gaze
With little thought to the world about you
What a wealth of memories this day has given me

 My heart fills with pleasure
When I think of the time I spent beside this lake
When I feel down or blue
I remember the solitude
The flash of the golden sun
Ancient palms, a gentle breeze
Exhilaration 
 

Author's Note

I tried to create the feeling of solitude, exhilaration, because that is what I feel when I think of the time I spent in Lake Argyle and the Bungle Bungles, Western Australia
