Feeble Mind

Feeble Mind

A Poem by Pollai
"

Sometimes our mind can be the hardest prison to escape from

"
Locked deep inside
This feeble mind of mine
Unable to let go
Yet too proud to show
The scars of the past
The whole world laughed

A day shall come
Where my heart will hum
The tune of angels
Ours a story for the fables
Tonight I sit in sorrow
The sun rises only to bring
An even darker tommorrow

I know the feeling, too well. You do a wonderful job of showing how sometimes thinking just brings you down. And how our minds are the cause for constant sad thoughts. The last stanza shows how you hope for that day that you will feel happy, but you still feel sad and have nothing to look forward to the next day. I can empathize with you, here. It's such a difficult thing to do, to get off of the sad thoughts and start thinking more positively. Great job, and you do a very good job of conveying your emotions in such a short poem.

A great look on the power and weaknesses of our minds and how they can turn into a prison if we are not free thinkers.
Well done.
