Harlot or Helpmate (9-85)

A Poem by PoetryofProvidence

The prostitute hunts for precious soul
but I am given to make man whole
and though some have ill gotten gain
to they shall eat of it's own pain
I am ready and quick of mind
carry passions desire and I am kind
The fruit I bear is happiness
in a garden which is bliss
Many kinds of love are there
One kind the tree of life does bare
You know I will not ravage you
but with fidelity will be true
Will charm you with certain honor
caress your soul and will be fonder
than the deer and evening roe
who doesn't with the sunset go
To assure your days are pleasant spent
not taking you then having went
onto a foreign road and way
and taken all you have today
I give and ask little in return
except reciprocate you learn
and give what I have given you
to others so that they can too
Have a love and understand
what makes a woman and a man.
Proverbs chapter 5 chap 31:10-31
