Webs

Moon moths and butterflies gossamer wings
fireflies neon dragonflies skipping on wings
the crickets with leg clicks to each other sings
fascination in the worlds of crawly things

Intricate weaving a spider does web
tensile strength of steel upon it's thread
the life caught within knows not it's dead
for upon it's being the spider is fed

Sand traps and trapdoors home of arachnid
the snare into which it's victim is led
God has used creatures in his parables
you must consider what truth within dwells

The world is caught in a web of lies
and a show of beauty is it's disguise
every snare is designed for the flies
the ambush is silk and lullabies

The weaving of silk is glossy and smooth
the bite of venom does paralyze truth
unaccountably rare do any escape
to fly away from a spiders plate

The bait is set the device is laid
prey know naught that he's been made
netting in the open arachnid in the shade
if eyes aren't open ones life is paid

In Apocalypse we learn two thirds of the earth
do lose their lives in the Kingdoms birth
they have pursued pleasure and it's mirth
Gods word against sting of scorpions curse

No ambush when laid it's sight is concealed
to the unwary no view is revealed
what is profitable for the life of each
openly do the scriptures teach

My poetry's like our Lords parable
that seek you may upon his trail
for only those who can find his path
to the truth will find his life ever last

Before the eyes of God naked we stand
every woman and every man
you may think your thoughts are hidden
but find within Lucifer's midden

Everything one thinks is truth or lie
fast asleep are most by demons lullaby
the cup of Babylon the world does drink
the soma that removes ability to think
