ChildrenA Poem by PoetryofProvidenceAll my precious little gems how in my heart you shine you were all a gift from God that I could love all time
In the natural order you'd have been home with me but the system works against all the ties of family
Before I worked the System to myself I had you all my heart has long remained there before the system I did fall
I read you Hiawatha by the fireplace at night beside the book of bible stories to give your minds insight
answered questions and we counted pinto beans and popcicle sticks had friends with lots of children and a social life betwixted
pleasant were the nights and days I could hug and boo boo's kiss but upon the eve of workdays it was silence that I wished
Problems had grown to mountains the obsticles to peace that last there was no place that I could turn for understanding could I ask
I would have shown you the cosmos and the patterns of Mandelbrot watched the meteors when passing and the lakes where the rains do drop
Would've climbed every mountain path and into the canyons walked a magnifying glass to plants of life's mysteries have talked
You have excelled my expectations your resilliency do I astound your minds and hearts have exceeded of course and problems turned around
