Teenagers

Teenagers

A Poem by Josh

Teenagers.
The want to grow up
want to be treated like adults
be able to drive
to go where they please
hang out with who they want
they see school as something forced upon them
the excitement in the air when your a senior in high school
you can't wait for it to be over
they day comes, you are the happiest person in the world
your almost free
as you walk across the stage you glance at your classmates, peers, your friends
they have been through it all with you
but wait.
No.
All those good times are gone.
Stop.
Rewind.
I don't wait it to end
it want too fast
I don't want to be an adult
I still want to sneak out of the house to go to that party my parents told me not to go to.
It has all gone too fast
slipped away
but you can't do anything now
your in the real world now
you must keep moving
your in the real world now.
