I offered you a hand
and I was right there to keep you strong,
but you just never bothered,
and now, you'll miss me,
when I'm gone...

Great poem. I actually wrote a song called, "Long Gone."
It goes, "Now the clock is ticking by, I dried my eyes a thousand times, you said you'd always be there for me, but now that's all history...but now all I do is sit here alone, patiently waiting by the phone...but now...i'm LONG GONE...."

yeh its funny how so few people miss you when your gone and how quick people forget people all together if they never come back... I've noticed that.

This is sad and very more realistic, you know they say that we only realize the value of anyone during their absence, but it is not at all like that...we always value them, the thing is that we love them so much that we don't even think in our slightest thoughts that a day can come when they can actually leave out of our lives..
It is painful, isn't it....

Short sweet and to the point. I love it. sometimes we spend so much time trying to help people that don't want to be helped only to exhaust ourselves. Then, when it's all said and done is when they realize that they lost out. Great piece. It is an everyday battle that everyone should be able to relate to well.
