It hurts now...more than ever...

It hurts now...more than ever...

A Poem by barricade

All alone in a corner of this world,
sitting with a picture of you in my hand.
Started from the top
and got down to the bottom of every bottle...

With the mere thought of making you mine
even in my hallucinations
or to just forget you altogether...

But just my luck
couldn't get either...

Caught in this very battle,
this heart aches,
longs for you in every beat.
Your name in every breath I take...

Wish I could just end it all
or could just rip this heart out for that matter,
because it hurts now
it hurts more than ever...

I feel you all around
in everything and in every one I see...
Yet I can't make you mine.

I reach out,
reach out to nothing,
moving my hands blatantly...

I'm loosing it
and it hurts now
it hurts more than ever...

Dear Barricade,

I sense a deep depression in the main character. I also see you made a refrence to the most common item that is involved in depression, alcohol. I wish to say that I admire this form of poetry, of course anything that is dark, depressing, and somewhat murderous is something to be admired by me. I would have to say that this poem was 'inspiring'.

This poem is soooo heartbreaking! It's amazing and makes me want to cry...you feel the pain of the narrator. I love this poem SO much.

It almost broke my heart to read this. There's such a feel of deepest depression and not caring what happens anymore..... I've felt like that, once. And it was horrid. Anyways, it was really good and keep it up :)

Love seems to be the only legal form of torture left in the world. Loosing the one you love or not being able to reach her is a painful thing. A beautiful write that tugs at the heart strings. I can sense the pain and the passion in the words. Someone once said God never gives us more than we can handle, and I know you can handle it. You are a strong man Nick. And when you falter you have people to fall back on. I am one of them. Your in my thoughts, everything will work out

This is so dark and beautifully sad!
I got the sense of grief and loneliness in each and every line of yours here.
I can understand, it really hurts a lot..more than even words can say...
But thats life..
Great work :)
