just my thoughts...

What if???

what if i could just say what i wanted to...
without any pondering or further ado...
what if you could just hear the unspoken...
the words unsaid within the heart that's broken...
what if we hadn't made the mistakes we did...
would we still be apart, stranded....
what if we could turn back time...
would you run into my arms and still be mine...
what if my love wasn't this strong...
would yours alone have held us so long...
what if in the next moment i said I'll die...
would you want to hold me or even say goodbye...
what if God offered me a chance...
would we have our one last dance...
to see my love in one last glimpse...
hold you tight and kiss those lips...
after this I'd love to die...
at least we shared our last goodbye...

This was so painful to read.. not the type of what if's one likes to have.. and most don't admit it but have at least one what if in life! I could really feel your emotions pouring out in this.. this is real feeling .. embrace that you have had that moment and memory.. I am no longer fighting the "what if's" and understanding that they do exist.. moving forward to allow the future "can be"s".. to happen at the whim of fate. Those last nights.. last kisses.. last dances.. so devastating to reach out for them.. for we all know inside ourselves we want more deep down than that when we feel that way! Great job!
