My "Beautiful Stranger"

just a little tribute to a dear friend....Krystle...

I have never ever seen her...
yet she's on my mind; a stranger...
a girl named krystle...
just like her name; so subtle...
its ironical; i feel with her a connection so strong...
as if I've known her forever or even long...
we've never met, we're worlds apart...
yet there's a bonding; straight from the heart...
I've found a sweet friend in her...
I'll give all i can to make her stronger...
she's been through a lot; the hurt and pain...
the tests she's faced, won't go in vain...
she deserves the best and even more...
my prayers for her will make that sure...
don't know what she feels about me...
but i shall always be there by thee...
we might never ever meet unless it's a rebirth or a world re-arranger...
but she will always be my friend KRYSTLE; a BEAUTIFUL STRANGER!!!!

Is this poem based on a cyber-connection?

It shows a steady grace, and even a hint of the eeriness of the virtual. More people these days form "best friend" and "love" bonds with people they have yet to meet in the flesh, including yours truly. Puts a different spin on "Brave New World."

"My Beautiful Stranger" is a good, universally resonant title in, as I say, this age of virtuality. You've oriented your heart in a good place for the unpredictability of such relatedness.

Beautiful piece. I have always felt that the greatest appreciation for someone is to capture their essence in words. It shows them who they are to you and that poem lasts a lifetime. I have had friend write one for me and I almost cried.
