Memories tear me apart,

Like knives through my heart...

You abandoned me in the dark,

Left a life long mark...

I feel fractured,
right down to my bare bones.

Because of the falling,
from once lovers to now unknowns.

Just when I thought,
I found my wings in you and we could fly.

You stabbed me and left me crippled,
with your bitter twisted lie.

What you made me believe,
was always "meant to be".

Shattered right in front of my eyes,

as nothing but short lived glee.

Here I am, still thinking about you,

scribbling words as usual.

While the skies mourn my loss,
shed tears on my destiny so cruel.

I'm soaking wet,
today in this rain

With tears, memories,
a broken heart and pain...

Our love may have been a tragedy,

but your memories are still my remedy...

You're the reason behind my insanity,

yet my love for you is the only clarity...

All that is holding me back and slowly killing me is you,

yet you're all that drives me and keeps this heart beating through...

You described the pain and the emotion well in this one. Once you love someone it is hard to let them go, I think a lot of people go through these types of pain when going through a break up or something.
