Square one...

There is a little place
A place that's become my home
It ain't where I chose to be
But now it is my own

It's small
It's deeply claustrophobic
Devoid of all happiness
Seemingly broken, catastrophic

I've been down endless roads
Nestled dreams and hopes
Yet I'm brought back to this place
I'm a puppet to its ropes

This place has no hope
It's where my faith brutally ends
It's where I lose my ground
And my back breaks and bends

In the heart of darkness
Is where this place is located
Into this pit I'm constantly pushed
By me it is never vacated

This place that is my home
It has a shrinking roof
the walls are closing in
And here I'm sadly aloof

The road to my new home
Is paved with broken pieces
Of dreams, hopes and my shattered heart
It's here that all happiness, ceases

It's called square one
And I am back here all over again
there's no more fighting destiny
Because there is nothing left to gain...
