My Sister, my keeper

My Sister, my keeper

A Poem by ~barefoot empress~
"

Written for a beautiful summer, for my older younger sister.

"
She is light, where I am dark
She breezes through my branches
I lay alone as broken china
She is the glue that binds me back together again

Always there
Always loving despite the flaws
Always forgiving despite the sin

Keeper of knowledge
She was there before the beginning,
and she will be there long after it ends
Old soul, she is eternal

She walks in beauty, Byron would say
She bathes in golden glow
A halo kisses her head,
And mercy lies in her hands

She is transcendent
Beyond me
But her humility foregoes her ability to believe it

There is no weakness in her eyes,
That anyone could see,
But for me

She fortifies me with her faith
And I pour out my love to her

There is nothing to be harsh within this beautiful embrace of sisterhood...so many great phrasings and felt emotions...Old soul, she is eternal...I lay alone as broken china...I wanted to scoop you up and hug you and feel like you were my own dear departed sister. Beautiful bonds...feel proud and lucky.

The mood of this is full of admiration. I really appreciated your use of diction. Well articulated, barefoot.
