67 Minutes of giving backA Poem by BareFeet QueenMake an imprintROSE-BANK COLLEGE GIVES BACK In the spirit of giving and through the legacy of Nelson Mandela Rosebank College part time PR students aim to give back to the least of South Africa's citizens. I met up with one young and smart woman named Makgotso who will discuss what this day means to them and what initiative they have put up for the day. BQ: Makgotso please briefly tell us about the project you are embarking on and why? MK: The initiative is called Make an Imprint the concept is from the 46664 logo that has Tata's hand imprint on it. Beyond that make an imprint means make an impact that is what Nelson Mandela's life was about. Giving to the least. Why we chose to do what we will be doing is to give back and not only give back but document the lives of those who are marginalized and forgotten. Firstly the location of the Soup Kitchen shows how we have trampled over the legacy of Nelson Mandela since there are homeless people living right under the bridge named after him. Secondly , all of this will be documented on video, edited and publicized so the elite can know the emergency of people's circumstances and living conditions. BQ: This seems like a huge initiative, tell me who was involved? MK: The part time PR students are all responsible for this initiative and all efforts were made by them to ensure it turns into a success. All the ingredients and equipment needed for the day will be organised by them. BQ: What was Rosebank college's response to this? MK: The school has been supportive and helping in whatever way they can, on the day most of the staff will be available for assistance and the PR lecture whom we call Sis Nox will be present and will give words of encouragement to both the needy and those who wish to change the world. So there you have it, Makgotso has taken us through the Journey now it is for us all to go out there and help and serve the South Africa we all love well. Venue;Under Mandela Bridge time:from 8am until the purpose of good is served Bring clothes, blankets and food and let us all make an imprint. Barefeet Queen love and light
