Summer Nights

Summer Nights

A Poem by The_Breakdown

A cool breeze gently stirs the still night
The green grass sways gently
The green leaves rustle and dance with the crickets
All is calm
You sit around a warm fire
It crackles and pops
Only faces are lit as stories are told
And laughs pierce the stillness of the surrounding area
Smiling faces stay through the night
Centered around that orange ball of light
Memories are made
But it's time to go in
One by one faces disappear to go to rest until the next night
Tomorrow, something similar may occur
But for now, it's time to go
As only a few embers are left glowing, you get up
Bedtime it is
And the glorious summer night ends
