New PerspectivesA Poem by ElizabethI am tracing the iridescent Road under a shifting canopy of light, under the opulence of soft spring air. Cold dirt sprouting with tangerine blossoms, bursting forth with vibrant clarity. If there were a heaven, this would be it.
No worries, I’m in another universe. No worries, the hallucinogen clouds dancing and light always. This feeling is as potent as nature. Always, always. Can’t you feel the quickening? My thoughts a thousand miles away. I could swallow their universe-- all of their troubles as shallow as a washbasin, their words as corrosive as septic tank cities. I could put it all in a little box in a corner in my mind where it would selfishly whine into the night. I could tie myself to the wind and blow away. I could bathe in ripe eternity.
Without all of their heavy horrors I am able to drift far away and high above into endless dimensions and fragrant summers. © 2011 ElizabethReviews
