Promise

Promise

A Poem by Elizabeth

Lilt like wind and languor in the cerulean sky.

Fall like diamonds on the petals of Gods, we are flowers,

effervescent champagne in the lake

bubbling on towar’s spring.

Can it ascend?  Fill the air?  Consume the sunrise so demure

with incessant life?

High enough on waiting, spun and raveling in silk worm web.

These complexities, imbued with promise

and lithe hope.

I like the idea it seems to scratch at, we may just be the beautiful part of the spirit, not apart, but a part. And even in our most dismal hour that experience is beautiful in its own right. Cool piece.

This is beautiful. Love the tone, mood, and style. It carries eloquence, fitting the subject handled within it. I enjoyed reading this.
