Wings

Wings

A Poem by Z bangbangmaxwell
"

special angel

"

I walked outside into the night
and saw the strangest thing.
Sitting high up in a tree,

an Angel with no wings...

It's always nice to be polite
(It's never nice to stare)
and so I asked her, nonchalant
"How did you get up there?"

It's like the Angel hadn't heard
it seemed that way to me
So I spoke up (a little bit)
"Who put you in that tree?"

The Angel turned to me and smiled
it took my breath away
And to this day I can't forget
the words I heard her say:

"It isn't wings that make us fly
or sleep that let's us dream,
It is the love that's in our hearts
that let's us do these things"
