Story of my LifeA Poem by Hurricane
Deep inside,
Worlds collide, Nowhere to run, Nowhere to hide. Surrounded by sin, No way to win, Don’t think I’ll make it, My skin’s getting thin. But then from above, A hand full of love, Pulls me out, Of this dark cove. Blinded by looks, One straight from the books, Little did I know, His mind, one of a crook. Robbing me of joy, Then lingered to annoy, Should’ve never let him in, Should’ve been more coy. Smiling at my hurt, Tearing down my fort, Looks like it’s time, For me to abort. Down in a hole, A sad, broken soul, My happiness and trust He had stole. Then out in the distance, I see his existence, He comes to my rescue, And offers assistance. I had little trust, But without disgust, I decided to clean, My heart, full of rust. Without any strife, I put down the knife, Cause he showed me love, Changed the story of my life. © 2020 Hurricane |
