Bipolar

Bipolar

A Poem by Hurricane
"

What it’s like to be severe bipolar in my shoes

"
I smile for a moment
in seconds tears falling
Always stalling
Stuck in torment

Strangely behaving
Off the rails
Infinite fails
Emotions cascading

Overwhelmed
And over the edge
Slipping of the ledge
Underwhelmed

I explode on everyone
I see their reaction
Regretting all action
And ruining the fun

I see nothing in the mirror
A shadowless soul
A wide open hole
To death I am nearer

To far or too close
To much to quickly
Outer shell becomes prickly
Time for another dose

Spiraling always
Afraid all the time
With no reason or rhyme
Just lost in the haze

I think you did an excellent job at describing what it feels like to suffer from bipolar disorder, and you worded it beautifully.
