Venom

Venom

A Poem by Piper

I sit here silently watching you
You have no idea why I do
But you attract the snake that lies
Seeing the sparkle in your eyes
I know that it is too late
For it is fate that you are his new bait
He takes it's ravenous bite
Injecting his venom in your innocent heart
With the delusion of happiness you can't fight
As he insidiously now controls your heart

I stare knowing that you can't be saved
For it is to late to stop what has been made
My eyes can't believe this has happened again
But to warn the innocent heart I must abstain

He constricts
He contorts
He hisses
He cries
He feasts
He manipulates
Something you can't see

You nurse his pleas
But he will never help you, you see
'Cause he takes what he wants
And his venom controls your thoughts
As it slowly haunts your dreams
You can't escape the seams
He eats away your happiness
Replacing it with bleakness
He takes another menacing bite
Injecting his venom in your innocent heart
With the delusion of happiness you can't fight
As he insidiously now controls your heart

I stare knowing that you can't be saved
For it is to late to stop what has been made
My eyes can't believe this has happened again
But to warn the innocent heart I must abstain

He releases
He distorts
He hisses
He cries
He drains
He manipulates
Something you can't see

He constricts your throat
Hissing you away
You plea for him to stay
Thinking it was love that you two have lain
Even if he has his eyes on another victim
You cry begging for him
As the addiction of the venom pulses in your veins
His rejection burns and pains
Leaving you with nothing but tears for you
He leaves with nothing but another innocent heart to screw

I stare knowing that you can't be saved
For it is to late to stop what has been made
My eyes can't believe this has happened again
For I was the first heart he had obtained

He stalks
He conjures
He gains
He grins
He mocks
He kills
Something I can see

He sucked me dry
With every happy thought lost to a night filled cry
I'm on my knees looking for a venom filled escape
It has felt as if the whole world was covered in a drape
With the venom filled addiction turning me into a drone
Seeing the snake slither to you
There was nothing I could do
The manipulating venom kept me silent
As you let him become your pilot
I am sorry that it has lead to this
But it's a cycle that can never be fixed
