broken world

broken world

A Poem by Chirpy!
"

created for the twisted metal contest.

"

Twisted metal,

slowly loses its red glow

from the intence heat

limp hands reaching

for the blackened sky,

my world has become

a tragic forest.

Bits of glass

from my snapped memorys

are strewn across

this forest floor

I must find my way out

of this forbidden woodland.

I feel a sharp pain

in my left leg,

in my heart,

as I make my feeble attempt

at hobbling towards safety,

but not home safty.

It's unbearable!

a pain so stong

nothig can prepare

I soon fall as

my chapped lips

kiss the ground

in surrender.

I can hear voices,

searching for surviors,

but I know my own

lips are too busy mumuring

my love to unbroken

pavement, and I'm

to weak to function.

smoke was rising

in thick and black clouds.

but so was hope
