The SnowA Poem by Countryman47A poem about appreciation of small thingsAs I sit by a roaring fire on a cold winter
evening
I glance out the window and see a gentle snow begin
to fall
It dances and glistens in the reflections of the
moon light
So quite,so peaceful it soothes the soul of us
all.
A blanket of white soon covers the ground as far as
the eye can see
The only sound is the crackling of the fire as it
burns so bright
It seems all trouble and striff is a million miles
away
For me,there is Peace on Earth, at least
tonight.
There is beauty in so many things, but we all too
often do not see
The small Blessings are often the best
part
A cool rain on a hot summer day,the sounds of
a birds song,a childs laughter
So many things that cost nothing, but always warms
your heart.
In the peace of this night as the snow continues to
fall
I realize Blessings from God are given with no
price,from him all Blessings flow
I will learn to cherish the small things as I never
have before
Seems there are lessons to be learned from
something as simple as the snow.
