Lonely starA Poem by Bhavana Singh
As I lay under the sheet of stars,
I don't look upwards for the fear that it will fall Petrified I hold my heart too tight not to lose it for once and all Rhythm plays on its own in my mind to soothe the sense and bring it to light Forward backward as it goes along getting calmer and then right piercing through my heart Cutting it deeper without shedding tint of blood colored red wine lapse of breath forces unwinding the drapes of curled lashes and look at the sky that is still shining In Myriad of stars you are still alone glistening foremost leaving else behind I look at you you and find me but why you don't close yourself as I did mine Why you set ablaze every single fleck you find Oh shining star fall on me and make yourself mine. © 2014 Bhavana SinghAuthor's Note
