Alone

Alone

A Poem by Baer

My heart begin to flutter like a butterfly on the first day of spring. Out of no where. A good day turns sour. All that was bright turns dark and all laughter turns into tears. Life stops. No warning. No relief in sight. My body begins to shake as if an earthquake is forming over me and my once straight spine curls into a ball. Nothing matters. The world around me disappears and I am alone. I am alone in a world of people.

very realistic description of a sudden rush of sadness or emptiness. i thoroughly enjoyed this because it related so much to me and i would assume the rest of the world.
