WorldA Poem by Jordan Madrid
Bitterness wraps the rutty sweetness
For a world with mocking language She knew no way but kindness And there they slashed with insecurity The calm bathed a mortal sadness For those who fancy devastation She hugged but could not touch those, Whom had brought to bare emptiness With tenderness, she sought the balance Loved the world she thought should be And here the world was not whole But instead the reflection of shinny thoughts She clings to hopeful dreams, That love given would be returned Instead, she cried at unformed sorrows And watched the world pass to shadow © 2009 Jordan Madrid |
