SparkA Poem by Jordan Madrid
What life could spark the endless dreams?
And smile for the floating hope That strip bare the aging man Who fought for remembrance? To be more than speck or dust Washed away by the sea So torrent and hateful How carelessly it fills this soul Worn but roads in fear, traveled The man would lay in them Wasting his end With dreams of youth inside his head Does this dream fade? Forgotten for who we were A named stone With rotting corpse beneath Marking where we lay © 2009 Jordan Madrid |
