Brave New World

Brave New World

A Poem by Father Mojo
"

(A Sonnet about Our Elected Officials)

"

The times may change, but the leaders do not!
They harp on problems they themselves create.
Confusing action with talking a lot,
They endlessly try to hide in debate.
As in the past, when people were dying,
They gather together and they begin
To try to prove through all of their vying,
“How many angels can dance on a pin.”
I will offer a single prediction:
People will suffer and problems endure.
For “leaders” are nothing but a fiction--
They are leaders in name, and nothing more.
They reduce all of life down to mere “spin.”
Trusting in them, the original sin...
