    Ugliness is born whenever people determine that some things are beautiful.
    Evil is born whenever people determine that some things are good.
    So, something and nothing produce each other.

    Difficult and easy things complete each other.
    Long and short things complement each other.
    High and low things slant toward each other.
    Pitch and tone harmonize with each other.
    Before and after follow one another.
    So the wise go with the flow and teach others without ever saying a word.

    Process is the source of everything that exists;
        yet, It doesn’t claim authority over anything.
    Process acts for the common good of everything,
        but It doesn’t demand gratitude from anything.
    Process does what needs to be done,
        but It doesn’t take any credit for it.
    Process is always given the credit simply because It never looks to receive any credit.
