WHEN ALETHEA SMILES

WHEN ALETHEA SMILES

A Poem by Father Mojo

when alethea smiles i know there’s a place
where children play safely on neighborhood streets
and elderly women with weak eyes and bodies
throw open their doors without fear or worry
and the world is at peace for one tiny moment
heaven and earth are no longer estranged
and life is immune to death’s jagged claws
and i can believe in good things once more
when alethea smiles

JR- Another good one.

Brett- "Althea" is a girl in a Grateful Dead song. That is obvious.

when alethea smiles we all feel the sunshine a little stronger. I'm struck by your depth and range. I've read quite a bit of your work since you've begun to re-build. I can't predict the contents of what I will open next. Every click is a new adventure, no way to tell what will unfold. That's exciting.
