The part that did not make it into the Bible

When God was creating human beings, one of the angels came to Him and said: "Creator, we are running low on parts, we do not have enough hearts and guts and brains to go around."

God thought about it for a while and said to the angel, "Make them anyway, just use the parts sparingly. Don't put hearts and guts and brains in all the people."

The angel went off and did as instructed. And Lo! On that day, God create the Republican Party out of those people who have no hearts, the Democratic Party out of those who have no guts, and the American Voter out of the people who have no brains. And thus, American democracy was formed. 

And God looked and saw that it was very good -- for Corporations...
