Awkward Moment

Awkward Moment

A Poem by Kitten

and what is asked the immortal question
of that which tomorrow has brought
stands a ready guard to isolation, forget-me-knots
as a piece of time floats easily attainable on the hurricane
would that a single look could bring regression
and a world of unwarranted sanity first bloom again

if I reached out my hand would you let me fall
or turn your back on prescribed reality's joke
to watch in slow motion as the clock rewound
a paper, a hope, a memory reborn from bloody ashes
that smiles with some sickening sorrow in the dark
until unending impossible light breaks free

lots of symbols/inuendo...the idea was to contrast emotions using only symbols

if I reached out my hand would you let me fall - you totally captured the title in this one line...

I like this very much and think you have done an excellent job of what you set out to do!
