Publication is a self-invasion of privacy.
Marshall McLuhan
Writing is kind of like smoking, it is concurrently therapeutic and detrimental. The biggest difference between the two for me is I quit smoking. I write because I talk too much. If I said everything I thought I would never get any sleep. While I can’t write as fast as I talk, writing still allows me to get rest. Probably along the same lines that if you eat slower you fill up quicker.
In all sincerity the corporal act of writing holds no delight, and unless the matter is of curiosity to me individually, writing is cerebral torment. I have maintained comparative sanity through the grace of effortless amusement. On the odd occasion when the issue truly appeals to me for whatever rationale; I will light the keyboard afire and there is no holding back! I take on the role of the warrior scribe brandishing words as weapons, inscribing essays using five styles of Kung-Fu, and carpet bombing with rare logic and exploding drollness.
