Young ; still sucking our thumbs
But pretending we’re grown
Wanting to sit on the highest throne

So naive
Wanting to experience everything
Thinking our years are thinning
Not wise enough to be patient

But we are just having fun
Education is boring
Idc if I become a bum

Teenage romance
Can I have this dance?
Believing this is love
But it’s just points for popularity

Wanting, yearning to be treated like adults
But not able to see the depth
Where happiness is key
Because popularity won’t matter to you and me when we’re finally grown

But I don’t want to grow
I want to be a late bloomer
I don’t want to stop sucking my thumb
And I don’t want to take my first steps

Because I’m having fun in my day dream
Because when I grow it’ll be a reality
And things will matter
And it’ll be about more than just having fun
