Cursed' Thorn

Cursed' Thorn

A Poem by badgirl beth

Let not your voice stay from me till summer's dawn

With whispers of love be sworn to my ears soon upon

Quiet a sound, should shatter the walls that shackle this lover's song

If my heart know not your return so sworn

So your love bore a painful scorn

With heavy burden so lay you

Upon a heart now left to mourn

With hours that bore me lonely and torn

Hence forth eternal aching from your

Cursed' Thorn!

i think you did very well with this. it reminds me of something sandy denny or loreena mckennit might sing as it has that old time feel to it. I guess thats why i like it

This is pretty good. I liked the word choice. It sounded like it could have been from a Midsummer Nights Dream. I liked the flow. Nice write!
