Save Me (dark themes!!!)

One of many poems I wrote in the perspective of a character I made. I may or may not post all of them, but I am in the process of writing a story about the current events going on in his life.

I look up to the sky I once remembered.

The clouds, the smoke,

Once again they had wrapped their silver hands around my throat

A scent so familiar

I turn around and see

You

You wave at me as nothing’s wrong

I cry back

‘I’m dying’

You don’t know that

You heard it just like always

Everything I say I cover up with my own mistakes

My mistakes that once ended a chapter of my story

My mistakes that won't let me start a new one

My mistake

I'm sorry

I'm sorry

I'm sorry..

It's no one’s fault but mine

Why I’m stuck here in this place

This heavy atmosphere

It’s hard to breathe

I keep screaming

“Please save me”

But you don't hear me

No one hears me

Because the voices made me believe I deserved it
