Subsitute Creature

A new girl, a returning villain? Sounds like new drama is returning to the show!

    "It's gonna feel weird going to school without Roy, nor Mr. Op..." John thought as he entered his classroom, "I wonder who's going to substitute..."

       A good looking young lady entered the room. She looked at the class then turned to board and started writing her name, Julie.

       John frowned, "Wow, she looks like she's our age..." he thought.

       Julie smiled, "Hey class, I know you probably are all wonderin why a teenager is teaching here today. Well, I'll tell you ... at my school, Vineyard High, we are having a little community service project. Me, having the highest grades in my class, was selected to substitute for your class. Don't worry, I'm not going to treat you as little kids, unless I think you need to be." Julie winked.

       Robert Hunts raised his hand, "Uhh... Ms. Julie, where is Mr. Op now?"

       Julie half-smiled, "First off, call me Julie, Ms. Julie is too formal... but about your question, no one knows..." Julie shrugged, "Well I guess we should start school now, huh?"

       John smiled, "Wow... she is, cool..." he looked over at the empty desk next to him, "I wish Roy was here though..." John looked back up at Julie.

 

       At Lunch

 

       Christy sat down by John, "Hey, how are you doing?"

       John smiled, "okay, I guess..." he glanced over at Julie who was sitting at a table all by herself, "Hey why don't we go sit by Julie?"

       Christy frowned, "Why?"

       John shrugged, "She looks lonely..."

       Christy folded her arms, "Sure, whatever..." she picked up her lunch and made her way over to Julie. John did the same.

       Julie smiled as Christy and John sat down, "Hey guys, a little weird being taught by someone your age, huh?"

       Christy waited for John to say something, but John seemed distracted, "Umm... yeah it does feel weird..." she said as she elbowed John.

       Julie looked at John, "So do you talk?" she teased.

       John smiled and sighed, "Umm... yeah I do... I just... I..." he blushed.

       Julie laughed, Christy didn't. Christy looked at John, "Well, I'm done with lunch, I ate a big breakfast. How 'bout you?"

       John looked at his empty lunch bag, he closed the lid, "Umm... no... not yet... I'll catch up with you."

       Christy nodded suspiciously, "Okay... if you're sure..." she walked away slowly.

       John looked at Julie, "So, how does school treat you at Vineyard High?"

       Julie smiled, "Pretty well, but it looks like your school is more interesting... at least the people are anyway..." she said.

       John scratched his head, "Uhh... yeah I guess..." he said quietly. He sighed, "Well this is awkward..." he thought. He changed the subject, "So, are you going to be, busy, after school?"

       Julie raised an eyebrow, "Are you asking your teacher out on a date?"

       John blushed, "I was, until I got that look!"

       Julie laughed, "No, no! It's fine, sure I'll go on a date. Where to?"

       John shrugged, "Umm... I don't care. You decide."

       Julie smiled, "Okay, how 'bout we just go to a restaurant?"

       John nodded, "Sure! That sounds great! What kind of food do you like?"

       Julie shrugged, "I like all kind, but I'm in the mood for Chinese Food..."

       John nodded, "Of course, we can go to Panda Fresh!"

       Julie nodded, "Okay, sounds great, we'll walk there after class."

       Christy listened intently, "Why is John doing this? I thought that we had a good thing going here..." she frowned and walked away.

      

       During Class

 

       Julie smiled, "Okay, now onto math. I guess we are doing some story problems..." she picked up the book and started reading, "So, who wants to try answering this question?"

       A couple of show offs raised their hands, including John.

       Julie pointed to John, "Okay, the question is-"

       Suddenly, the window shattered and The Creature jumped through, "I'M READY!!!!" he yelled as he grabbed hold of Julie, "HELLO CLASS!"

       John's eyes got wide, "Oh no..." he said under his breath. John jumped out of his chair, "RUN!" he yelled. Everyone ran down the hall.

       Christy ran up to John and whispered, "Hey Mr. Hero hurry it up!" John nodded and ran into the bathroom, "Okay this is a time where I miss having an alien costume..." He said as he threw on his costume.

        The Creature threw Julie against the wall, "I'm sorry, but this is MY class..."

        Julie groaned and tried to get up, but couldn't. Spiderman swung in and gave The Creature a kick that sent him out the window, "Why would you want to teach a bunch of crazy teenagers, anyway?" Spiderman asked.

        The Creature jumped back through the window and slammed Spiderman into the ground with his tail, "I just LOVE my job..." he snarled. He grabbed Spiderman and tossed him into the wall.

        Spiderman groaned and picked himself off the ground. He turned towards The Creature and webbed the wall then kicked The Creature back out the window, "I can relate to that." He said as he jumped out the window and landed on The Creature.

        The Creature grabbed Spiderman's leg and tossed him into a nearby car, "I'm going to finish this pest once and for all!" he said to himself as he grabbed hold of the car and smashed Spiderman with it.

        Spiderman laid there unconscious. Suddenly, White Cat jumped on The Creature, "Good...uhh... whatever you are..." she said as she got him in a leg lock and tossed him into a tree.

        The Creature leaped to his feet and yelled, "YOU HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS! LEAVE US ALONE!" he grabbed White Cat and tossed her into the ground and gave her a punch that sent her flying into a tree.

        Spiderman looked up just in time to see the punch, and it set him off like a bomb... he leaped into the air and webbed The Creature, and then he threw him up into the air. He quickly webbed a trash can and tossed it into The Creature. He then leaped into the air and slammed The Creature into the ground using his legs. He landed on him and webbed his face, "What's wrong Creature? Cat got your tongue?" He said as he threw The Creature towards another wall, but this time, The Creature put out his feet and caught himself. He shot acid out of his mouth and melted a tree behind Spiderman. Spiderman looked up to see a wave of acid come down towards him, and he leaped away just in time to see it land a couple of feet away from him.

        Spiderman frowned, "Hey watch where your spitting!" He leaped off the ground and landed on the wall. He webbed The Creature and threw him into the wall. The Creature quickly recovered and started climbing up the wall too. Spiderman shot a web at The Creature, and he easily dodged it. The Creature hit the wall and broke it down. Spiderman fell on the ground and looked up to see the wall fall down on him.

        Spiderman threw away the debree and looked up to see The Creature holding a gigantic rock above his head, "Game over Spidey..." The Creature snarled. Suddenly, White Cat kicked The Creature back and caught the rock. She spun around and around then tossed it into The Creature. Spiderman smiled and got up, "Thanks..." he said. He looked over at The Creature, who was running down the road.

        White Cat sighed, "Great..."

         Spiderman shrugged, "Well at least we saved the school. And you saved me..." he said. He looked at White Cat and smiled, "Thanks."

         White Cat looked down, "Yeah... your welcome..." she jumped away. Christy came up behind him and said, "BOO!" Spiderman jumped. Christy laughed, "Hey Spiderman."

         Spiderman frowned, "How'd you... oh nevermind! Go check on Julie!" he said as he jumped away.

         Christy frowned, "Yeah, I'm fine." she turned and walked down towards the school.

         

         Later

 

          Julie rubbed her head, "You sure you still want to take me to dinner?"

          John nodded, "Why wouldn't I?"

          Julie shrugged, "Well with all that happening I sure wouldn't feel safe taking someone to dinner that some radio active lizard is trying to kill..."

          John smiled, "Trust me, as long as you stay with me, you're safe."

          Julie laughed, "I'll take your word for it!"

          Once they reached Panda Fresh, they started getting more comfortable talking to each other. They talked about school, and their personal lives. John was really enjoying it.

          Julie smiled, "You have a little piece of chicken on your lip." John reached over to get it off, but Julie grabbed his arm, "Don't worry. I'll get it." she puckered up her lips and kissed John.

          John's eyes got wide. Then he started to relax and enjoyed the kiss.

          Julie withdrawed and said, "I think I got it..."

          John nodded, "Yes I think you did..." there was an awkward silence.

          Finally, John spoke up, "Umm... Are you done eating?"

          Julie looked at her empty plate, "Yeah, I'm full. And it's getting dark. Wanna go and watch the sunset?"

          John smiled, "Good idea. I could use a little relaxation."

          They left the restaurant and went down the road towards the beach. Suddenly, John said, "My spider sense is tingling..."

          Julie looked over at him and frowned, "What?"

          John's eyes got wide, "I... was just saying that you look beautiful."

          Julie smiled, "Thanks..." they kept walking. Meanwhile John was looking around, trying to locate the danger.

          John saw something move in the shadows, "Hey," John started to say desperately, "I forgot my cell phone at the restaurant, let's go back." then his phone rang. John blushed, "Oh..." he answered, "Hello?"

Christy: JOHN!

John: Yeah?

Christy: I found a cure for Mr. Op! It turns out that the chemical he had drinken already had an antidote ready. His memory must have gotten messed up after he went crazy.

John: WHAT? That's great! Bring it down to me now! I sensed- I mean, I think he's here...

Christy: OKAY! I'm on my way! Where are you two?

John: What do you mean, two?

Christy: The super soldier formula advances my hearing range too.

John: Oh...

Christy: But never mind that, where are you?

John: I'm on 17th St. in Manhattan.

Christy: okay, on my way.

       John hung up the phone, "Well, we need to go back anyway. Christy said I forgot something back at the school, so she'll meet us somewhere along the way."
       Julie shrugged, "Well... okay." they started walking down.

       John tried to keep his spidersense from bugging him, but it was going crazy! Finally he said, "Umm... let's run there, it'll save us the time."
       Julie nodded, "Okay." they started running and running, but John's spidersense wasn't stopping.

       Suddenly, the Creature leaped out of an alley and grabbed hold of Julie, "NOW I GOT YOU!" he yelled as he started running down the road.

       John gasped, "JULIE!" he spun around and started after her, "CREATURE YOU BETTER NOT HURT HER!" he jumped and grabbed onto his tail.

       The Creature looked at John, "GET OFF OF ME!" he tossed John into the wall and kept running.

       Julie screamed, "JOHN!!!" she struggled to get out of the Creature's clutches, "LET ME GO! I'LL LET YOU HAVE YOUR CLASS BACK IF YOU COULD JUST MAKE AN ANTIDOTE!"

       The Creature frowned, "NO ANTIDOTE! I LIKE ME THE WAY I AM!"
       Julie frowned, "Your mind is messed up from that syrum!" Julie struggled as hard as she could but couldn't move an inch. She struggled so hard that she ended up hyperventilating and passing out.

       John picked himself off the ground and ran into an alley and through off his shirt to reveal his Spiderman outfit, he quickly through on his mask, "CREATURE!" he yelled as he jumped and started swinging towards the Creature, "YOU BETTER NOT HURT HER!"

       He landed on the side of the wall, "STOP NOW!"

       The Creature just climbed higher, "Come and get me!"

       Spiderman jumped towards him, "LET GO OF HER!"
       The Creature smiled, "As you wish..." he spun her around and around and tossed her towards the cold ocean water below.

       Spiderman screamed, "NO!" he dived down towards her, but The Creature grabbed onto him.

       The Creature laughed, "Bad Spiderman! Did you really think it'd be that easy?" Spiderman watched in horror as she fell into the waters below, and didn't come back up.

       Spiderman could feel the anger boiling in his head, "HOW COULD YOU HAVE DONE THIS!?" he said as he grabbed the Creature's tail and slammed him into the wall, "I'LL KILL YOU!"
       The Creature easily threw off Spiderman, then he punched him into a nearby lampost, "Sorry Spidey. But my strength is far superior to yours!"

       Spiderman leaped off the ground and webbed right next to the Creature and pulled himself in and gave the Creature a kick that sent him through the building and out the other side. Spiderman landed on the side of the building and said, "Wanna bet?"

       The Creature tried to pick himself off the ground, but couldn't. Spiderman landed next to him and kicked the Creature back into the wall, "I SHOULD KILL YOU RIGHT NOW! IT'D BE SO EASY!" but then he remembered what his father had told him, "With... great power comes great... responsibility..." Spiderman webbed the Creature to the ground and sent his foot into his gut, "NOW STAY QUIET!"

       White Cat landed on a nearby ledge, "Is Julie okay?"

       Spiderman shook his head, "No... she isn't..."

       White Cat's eyes widened as she realized what had happened, "I'm...sorry..."

       Spiderman frowned, "No time for that. Throw me the syrum!" White Cat tossed the syrum towards Spiderman. He easily grabbed ahold of it. He slammed the needle into the Creature's arm and pressed button.

       The syrum injected into the Creature's blood. Slowly the scales started falling off, and his tail started wearing away. Soon there was nothing but Mr. Op.

       Spiderman webbed the unconscious Mr. Op to his back and started swinging down the road...

 

The Next Day

 

       John sunk into his chair, "Well... I'm glad that Mr. Op's brain doesn't have any permenant damage to it." he said to Christy.

      Mr. Op wrote some boring math problem on the board, "To celebrate my coming back. We aren't doing any school work today!" Mr. Op erased the problem from the board!

     Suddenly, the door flew open. Everyone gasped as the shadowy figure entered the room, "hey everyone." he said...

     John grew a big smile on his face and gasped, "ROY!"

 

The End...?

 

       Moonstar smiled, "My plan is working perfectly..."

      His assistant nodded, "Yes it is. We have everyone we need for the team!"

      Moonstar frowned, "not everyone... there is one more person of which I'd like to obtain... the Creature..."

     Suddenly, the window flew open and Venom jumped through, "I can get the Creature for you... but it's gonna cost you..."

     Moonstar smiled, "What'll it be, Venom?"

     Venom laughed, "I just want to lead the team against Spiderman! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
